Meet Ashlee Brew

Ashlee was inspired to study Law after meeting a young barrister who was so passionate about his career that it prompted her to pursue a similar career path. She combined her Law degree with a major in Criminology, motivated by her interest in counterterrorism and long-time love of crime shows.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University in 2019, Ashlee undertook further studies at the Australian National University, qualifying with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. While studying at university, she gained practical experience as a legal research assistant, paralegal and law clerk.

In her role on the Commercial Law team, Ashlee is known for her professional, reliable, client-centric approach. She listens carefully to what her client is aiming to achieve and always ensures all advice and explanations are provided in plain English to ensure clarity of understanding. Ashlee relishes in the diversity of the work and the collaborative and supportive team environment at Aubrey Brown Lawyers. She also appreciates the chance to focus on a specific area of Law to continue developing her expertise in that area.

Outside work, Ashlee has been a volunteer surf lifesaver since 2008 and has a passion for travel, photography and wildlife. At the age of 17, she combined all three when she travelled to Uganda to get up close and personal with the majestic silverback gorillas and managed to capture a black and white photograph of a zebra in the wild.

Ashlee joined Aubrey Brown as a graduate lawyer in September 2020. As a valued member of the Commercial Law team, she specialises in all aspects of Commercial Property Law, from contract and loan advice to retail, commercial and industrial leasing for landlords and tenants as well as commercial conveyancing, including subdivisions.
