Support, confidentiality & non-judgement
The way we (and the law) see it, relationships are relationships – Married, Same Sex or De Facto.
What is a De Facto relationship?
A De Facto relationship is a relationship between two heterosexual or same sex adults (18 years or older) who are:
- Not legally married to each other,
- Not related, and
- Living together as a couple on a genuine domestic basis.
When children are involved, the legal implications can become quite complex. That’s why it is so important to seek advice early from a specialist in the field.
